Water and any kind of moisture tends to loosen the bonding of your eyelash extensions. In the summer months is when most people are swimming and soaking up the sun, which is why I HIGHLY recommend purchasing a sealer. Sealer increases the bonding strength of your eyelash extensions. Your sealer gives you thicker more luxurious lashes while giving your lashes that wonderful mascara shine. Sealer does not need to be washed off. It is to be used 2x a week. Your sealer will last you 6 months or longer. Sealer comes in black and clear.

Flares, clusters, strips, and individuals. What is the difference?

Many people have heard that eyelash extensions are damaging to the natural eyelashes.

I'd like to disagree.

How? Why? Is that possible? YES!

As long as your eyelash extensions are applied INDIVIDUALLY, they are NOT damaging.

Flare, Clusters, and Strip eyelashes are damaging because they are not applied individually.

How can these be damaging?

Strip eyelash extensions are damaging because when you take them off you rip off your natural eyelashes which are not ready to fall out yet. That will lead to fewer lashes for you every time the strip eyelash extensions are applied then taken off, which will soon result in "bald spots".

"Bald Spots"=a hole in your lash line where eyelashes were pulled out when they were not ready.

Flare and Cluster eyelash extensions are also damaging because they are not individual.

Flare and Cluster eyelash extensions are sometimes layered on top of each other which can result in something that is too heavy for your natural eyelashes and cause them to break!

Flare and Cluster eyelash extensions are applied to more than one natural eyelash.

When this happens it rips out natural eyelashes that are not ready to come out.

So that is the difference between individual, flare, strip, and cluster eyelash extensions.

Be safe! Stick with INDIVIDUAL EYELASH EXTENSIONS.

Make sure you ask your lash artist what type of eyelash extensions they use, and that they are individual eyelash extensions.

What you need to know before coming.

When coming in for your eyelash extensions appointment make sure you have no eye make up on.

I recommend that you stay clear of any water on your eyes for 24 hours after your eyelash extensions are put on.

Upon leaving you will receive a mascara brush that you will use daily to brush any "tangles" your lashes may have.



Are eyelash extensions damaging to the natural eyelashes?

This is the most common question that I find I come across. Now, the answer you all have been waiting for...if they are applied correctly, no! What do you mean applied correctly? Individual eyelash extensions are meant to be applied individually to each natural eyelash. If the eyelash extensions are applied to more than one natural eyelash then yes, it can be damaging. When the eyelash extensions are applied to more than one eyelash it causes tugging on lashes that are not ready to naturally fall out, which then will lead to "bald" spots in your lash line because the lash i not ready to grow back. How do your lashes shed and replace themselves? Simple, when a new lash is ready to grow out, it simply pushes the exisiting one out. This is why when you lose a lash you don't notice because almost instantly another one grows in its place. To sum it all up, ExtensionsbyLindy only uses individual eyelashes and applies the eyelash extensions to one natural eyelash at a time. So NO eyelash extensions are not damaging.

Care

How can I care for my Eyelash Extensions?

Easy! They are very low maintenance.

Just like your hair, your eyelash extensions will get "tangled".

Upon leaving you will be given a mascara wand that you can use to brush your lashes

 whenever you feel they need it!

Brush them when you wake up in the morning and when you get out of the shower.

Never pull, pluck, or rub your lash extensions.

Make sure all make up remover is oil free.

It is recommended that you do not wear mascara or use an eyelash curler,

it simply is not needed.

How long does the application take? and how long do they last?

Eyelash extensions are a painless process, taking an average of  2-3 hours for a full set. Your eyes are closed the entire time, which makes for a perfect nap!  Extension refills are 90 minutes. Eyelash extensions last an average of 5-6 weeks. To have your eyelash extensions always looking their best fills are recommended 3 weeks from the inital application.

No mascara is needed when you have eyelash extensions!

Eyelash extensions take the place of your mascara. Picture this-waking up in the morning with beautiful, long, thick eyelashes and no wasted time putting on mascara! Wearing eyelash extensions instead of mascara can actually reduce the risk of eye infections. Eye infections can be spread from the mascara wand touching your eye, then put into the tube to infect your mascara.
